Forever Home Move-In
We’re excited to kick off the month by sharing a highlight from an incredible week we had last week. If you didn’t know, one of the services we offer is full organizing move-in projects, where we unpack and organize most of your home in just one week. From Monday to Friday, we had the pleasure of diving into a major move-in project, and let’s just say—it was a blast! In this month’s Golden Touch, we’re giving you an inside look at this project, complete with all the details!
We’ve all experienced a move at some point, and no matter the size, we know how overwhelming it can feel—especially when it seems to drag on longer than it should. Ever feel like unpacking takes forever? We hear from new clients who tell us they still have boxes that haven’t been unpacked years later! We offer full organizing move-in projects designed to make your move thousands of times smoother.
A few months ago, a previous client reached out to tell us about the new house they were building. We scheduled a consultation at the property (even though there was still plenty of work to be done—we’re always happy to consult at any stage of the build!). During our visit, she walked us through all the spaces she wanted unpacked and organized. We took measurements, snapped pictures, and discussed their preferences for how they wanted everything stored in their beautiful new home.
Next, we scheduled project dates, which we knew would take a full week to complete. In the meantime, we reviewed our pictures, notes, and measurements, and began custom ordering products for each space to ensure everything would fit perfectly and meet our client’s needs. Now, let’s get to the fun part! We’re excited to show you the “afters” of each space we organized.
Kitchen
We hit the jackpot with this kitchen's ample storage—it definitely made our job easier! But we didn’t just throw everything in there. We put extra thought into it, imagining our client's daily cooking routine. Each drawer was designed to be as functional as it is beautiful, making every meal prep a little more enjoyable and a lot more organized!
Pantry
This pantry was unique in that everything was tucked behind closed cabinets, but it had these fantastic pull-out drawers that made accessing everything a breeze! We made sure to install products that utilized the full depth of the drawers, ensuring no space went to waste—meaning more room to store your food!
Laundry Room
Just like the kitchen, this laundry room had plenty of storage! So, we were able to use this space for more than just laundry supplies. We created a full gift-wrapping station, along with a dedicated area for arts and crafts supplies—perfect for when the grandkiddos come to visit!
Master Closet (Hers)
Ya’ll, let’s just take a moment for this closet!!! We’re still not over it, and honestly, we probably won’t be for a long time. While we can’t take credit for the gorgeous lighting and perfectly sized shoe cubbies, this space was practically begging us to make it even more stunning. Matching black felt-lined hangers were used on each hanging clothing item, and hat and purse stands were used to showcase our client’s beautiful items. If we could, we’d hang out in here all day!
Master Closet (His)
Simplicity was key in this space, and it definitely helped that our client embraces a minimalist approach with his clothing! Matching hangers were added throughout, along with bins to neatly store smaller accessories like hats and gloves. And of course, we couldn’t resist using our favorite ballcap organizers to keep those hats tidy and accessible.
Master Bathroom
The last space we’re featuring is the master bathroom! You know we love a well-organized make-up drawer, so we created one using our favorite acrylic drawer organizers. Extra cabinetry provided the perfect opportunity to add dedicated zones for backstock and medicine.
This move-in project wouldn’t have been possible without our two dedicated employees! To celebrate wrapping up most of the project on Thursday, we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch at Queenie’s in Utica Square. Friday morning was all about the final touches—just a quick wrap-up and labeling session to make everything officially complete. Now, can you imagine having your home unpacked and perfectly organized in just one week? What a dream!
